Jawo
I own an older 3717 that has been fully modded with an eta swap, date wheel swap, relume and double AR with a custom HK Tan strap. The only thing that kinda annoys me is the thickness of the 3, 6, 9 and 12 markers. I know this has been brought up in discussion and I have heard of members doing the "marker mod" on it. Is this easy to do, and are there any modders that can do this? Thanks Edited June 11, 2008 by Jawo
HauteHippie
Jawo, The Zigmeister did mine. He in fact actually removed the plastic markers and relumed the areas where they were. To finish it off he flattened the top of the applied lume and effectively created new markers of about 1/2 thickness of the rep ones. I call it perfect now. Jawo
That sucks!! I had the watch over at The Zigmeister for all my mods, in fact you did the double AR for me. I will have to drop him a line to see if you can do that mod for me.
RWG Technical
Chieftang's thin markers were created by accident, it wasn't planned. One of the markers was crooked, so I attempted to straighten it out, and when I did this, it shattered to pieces...so what to do? I scraped the remanants off, and snapped the remaining 3 markers off to make them all even, and made my own in turn. I guess necessity is the mother of invention, you screw up, and the results are better than you started with. Who would have known... RG
