Swiss Pam111 - Seconds Sweep?

Recommended Posts

Hi I'm very new into Pams.

I'll willing to get an ultimate Pam111 with swiss hand wind movement.

In the gen, how should the seconds hand sweep?

In steps of second's like quartz?

Or continuously like in an automatic?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Athan

The swiss (low beat) 6497 runs with 18.800 bph, the high beat asian version with 21.600 bph like the gen. If you compare this with the 28.800bph of an ETA 2428-II you know what to expect. If you devide these numbers by 3600 you get the steps the second hand will do per second.

Thanks for your very scientific reply :o

Would that mean that it should have a smooth continuous sweeping (even with lesser steps) or a tick-tack quartz like motion?
