jsph Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 re: pollx desing -- is it just me, or is that a bit silly? i mean, it's not like all other instances of "rolex", "submariner", etc, were messed up throughout, to avoid getting in trouble. so why that case engraving? i just don't get it.

docblackrock Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 Like your photography Pismo. How did you get such a close shot of the crown etching? By using a loupe and autofocus maybe p.s. interesting detail that 'service' crystal - have seen that on gens a few times never before on rep, wonder if it's real oem crystal, batches DO turn up on the grey market from time to time... 1

Cracker Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 (edited) When a factory gets raided they can only take things that have the brand logo on them so these cases are safe from the crusher if the place they are stored gets pinched... At least that was what I was told awhile back Edited March 26, 2006 by Cracker

At least that was what I was told awhile back Might be the reason the MBW 1665s are usually low in stock. Those cases have the correct markings. Excellent photos, 700club.
