Just bought a DVD player, very happy.

Also looking to get a Hard drive media player with HMDI output.

Saw this on eBay Here

Any other people have A HDD media player? any advice?

Dont have much money to spend, on a budget.

Also i do realize that the eBay link i gave is the enclosure only, the HDD is separate

You should have bought a PS3! 40 Gig HD and a Blu Ray/DVD with upconverting (one of the best) processor or chip! You could also connect an external USB HDD that you want + HDMI output!

$399~!

The dvd player i bought was US$50, no regrets at all and its region free etc...

Does the PS3 play .iso files from a USB attached HDD?

ISO files are extracted on PCs only! When you connect an external USB drive to the PS3, It basically turns into your

multuimedia storage; i.e. music, video, pictures and games!

I know what .iso files are but seeing that all my movies are .iso's (dont want to open them all to vob and ifo files) then i need to know if the PS3 will play it

I dont think so, although I haven't tried it! It played all the DVD files I extracted to the the USB drive (750GiG)! BTW: The USB drive must be formatted in

FAT32. It does not recognize NTFS!

the PS3 doesnt recognize NTFS? thats crapp

Yup! But I don't see anything wrong with that! I guess they didn't expect people to connect a terabyte external USB Drive to it!

There's a way around it! I just can't remeber the formatting program I used right now!~
