Manitou
Hi guys! I am about to "complete" my PAM collection and doing so by placing an enormous order at Davidsen. Could you guys, who have experience with dealing with him, please inform me if it all went smooth etc.? Thank you and have a mont-brilliant day ;-)! chefcook
I just ordered some parts from him and everything went perfect. He replies fast, parts were perfect and imho the prices are very fair.
ravishingrick
Lessons should be learned from Jay's experience. Do not make large orders at once from Davidsen, rather order one piece if you are satisfied with what you have received order the next and so on... I advise you to take the time and read Jay's post (link provided by frankt)
JohnG
It is also important to point out that Davidsen's policy on replacement for loss/customs seizure is to refund 50% of the money. Since it is generally believed that markup on watches is about 100% this means that you take all the hit and he loses only his profit. I mention this because Scooby recently purchased a watch and was not aware of this. I looked around and while this policy is written, it is easy to overlook. Many other dealers will replace the watch free of charge. I have read enough to form my own opinion which is that there is significant risk involved with ordering from this dealer. PAMman
Buy his best parts certainly but don't buy complete watches.
chefcook
Buy his best parts certainly but don't buy complete watches. That's what I did. I assume that I did not have any problems with customs was caused by this. BTW the package was opened at the customs and was marked as "watch dial, set of watch hands and leather watch strap" on the customs sticker... JoJo35
I bought many of Davidsen's watches, and never had a problem with any of them.
vric
I only order parts from him.. One dial was wrong and he sent me a replacement without a problem. I will order again for my next project.
