Guest carlsbadrolex Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 DAMN those things look like they could be thrown off a building and still keep time...
Watchmeister Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 It is the same seller as the crowns and he is reliable. His price is a tad high but basically right. For someone who is looking to do a cortebert project it is probably a good buy.
cib0rgman Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 this movement can be put on a panerai watch. right
Watchmeister Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 A 616 requires a 47mm case and most likely a new spacer ring. You will also need to make up a custom stem as they usually require a 1.50 stem going into the movement but you will have to taper and rethread it down to 1.2 if using the usual 6498 crowns found on the vintages sold by dealers.
slay Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 yeah, the whole thing is not that easy to accomplish! 500$ is not a bad price though. I remember them selling for 300Euros+ which is close to 500$. But I havnt seen those movements around since about a year (they must have all been sold to collectors)
