No point at all in paying for the expensive quartz. The cheapo variants do exactly the same job and can be replaced for pennies if they crap out. This seems to be a cheap alternative to the flat 6 auto..Different dial spacing because of the movement and a closed caseback. Not accurate to the gen but seems like a good deal nonetheless... You're right. The expensive quartz is a different model and has -just like the gen- a nice complication: Split seconds and two stop functions. Not really...Different subdial spacing the most obvious flaw imo...automatic text missing on the dial(At least they are honest )..Closed caseback etc etc...But if youre not anal about 1:1 to gen thing(These are all Chinese knockoffs afterall right?) this do seems like a good deal. Actually the expensive quartz 6340 it is a quartz rattrapante! The movement, that is used both in gen and rep is a very fine piece of quartz timing.
