geestyleed
Hi guys! Today I recived my PO 42mm SS Strap. Really beautiful watch - perfect size. But the strap so tooooo long. I thought the strap would have the same mechanic like the Rolex watches with an screw, but here I dont know how I shall screw the pins out. Is there a possibilty to do it on my own? I hope you can help me - because I want to wear this watch - h3h3 greetings gee
Chaotik
I had the same issue with the same watch not that long ago. I ended up taking it somewhere to be adjusted. The guy that did it actually had to struggle a bit to get the pins out. I was told that if you do it yourself, you need to use a pin pusher and push really in straight line or else it would break the pusher. The watchsmith that did mine actually had to hammer the pins out. FYI, they are pins, not screws.

Damn I think we have no reliable watchsmith in my area - and I dont want to go to the remaining one with a rep ... Yeah - I think thats the best idea. Can I buy every pin remover or do I need a special one?
geo1nah2a
Most pin removers on the bay are generic ones and they will fit the PO's bracelet. I have one that I have used for my UPO and it works like a charm. Make sure You don't have the diver's extention open while adjusting it.. BTW wear it well, and do post some pics of it
Jimster
Google "how to remove watch pins from a bracelet" and something should come up. If I remember correctly Poor Mans Watch Forum has a tutorial on it for Seiko's. Jim

geestyleed
I made my decision and I'm going to buy a pin remover - even good for further investments I hope I get one in the city TODAY At the moment the watch is turning around my wrist all the time... Can anybody tell me, what a diver's extention is? I will upload some pictures this evening(German Time ) Edited July 23, 2008 by geestyleed
Chaotik
Can anybody tell me, what a diver's extention is? The diver extension is the smaller clasp that closes "under" the main clasp. If it's open, you'll end up removing way more links than needed and will have to put them back in order to close the extension.
