blade007
does anyone know if the movement in the above watch (from PT) is a real ETA or a fake one? I just read some info in a similar thread here and its got me rather worried. Anyone have any info? Sorry I do not have pics of the movement as I am still waiting for the watch, I wouldnt really want to open it either.

Sir-Lancelot
take a pic of the movement and post it, it's the only way to tell. Anything else is just a guess.

blade007
would i c0ck up the waterproofing if i open it? Edited July 30, 2008 by blade007
Sir-Lancelot
Not at all. Buy yourself some silicone from Cousins or J. Borel. You would be doing yourself a favor to grease your gaskets every 6 - 10 months or so. Cheap insurance. The grease keeps the gaskets from drying out, it's the gasket that waterproofs your watch. Just make sure to put it back on tight, but you don't have to over do it.
blade007
but what do i use to open it? someone mentioned the blutac method a while ago. would that work on this watch?
Sir-Lancelot
A ball of tape or rubber gloves. No scratches on your case back!!! I prefer to use the gloves as there is no sticky residue when your done. The rubber glove and your thumbs get a good grip, easy.
