FxrAndy
if you have a UPO then the hands will fit right on as they should be the same size as the gen. Tom highway may be able to help if you have the parts, Do you want to sell me your rep hands btw?

bosk
What about attaching the second hand - its so damn difficult. Whats the best way to avoid marking it or bending it as I did on my last one!?? I just use tweezers....plastic or rubber and get as close to watch as possible viewing the watch at a side angle. Lay the hand gently on the tip and then press down gently from the top where the hand attaches to the post. GL
Kahn
Hi, does anyone have any tips on how to attach gen hands to my upo?? Anyone in uk offer a service for such a mod? Just got finished replacing the dial on my UPO, setting the hands really isnt that hard - Get a "Bic" pen refill and a little transfer (by rubbing) the tinyist bit of stickey from a piece of masking tape to the open hole. Then just touch the hands and slide right into place for the hour and minutes. I found it a little easier to cut a slot into the plastic refill so i could hold the second hand a little better. Just take your time. (mind you i am talking about the refill - not the whole daggum pen!)
danza1812
Hi, Does anyone know where I can buy a spare 'second' hand from for my UPO?? Also whats the best way of attaching the gen bezel insert to the UPO? How much has to be filed off the back of the insert? Many thanks IMG]http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff303/hawkermatt/Picture003-1.jpg Hi, Does anyone know where I can buy a spare 'second' hand from for my UPO?? Many thanks http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff303/h...icture003-1.jpg I have to second Khan's post. The hands aren't that hard if you use the pen refill and a piece of transparent tape. Make sure you are using a loupe so you can see what you are doing better, it just makes the whole job 100X easier! As for the insert, I ground the whole "ridge" off with a small ball shaped diamond grinding bit and my dremel. I even took it down to leave a slight concave groove on the backside of the insert so the GS Hypo cement would have a nice place to sit. Make sure you use a clamp to hold it in place while the cement sits so the insert will properly sit inside the bezel. I used the lid from a vitamin bottle that was just the right size to press down on the insert and clamped it in place. Good luck!

If your movement is not an eta, which i have a feeling its not, the second hand tubes may be too tight. you might need to have them broached to fit. If you still have the rep sec. hand, just reuse it for now. Im surprised you replaced the hands cos they are not that different than the Gen. Good luck! danza1812
Hi, Thanks for the replies, I managed to get the bezel insert in after a whole lot of filing. The gen second had really didn't want to fit on but i'm sure my watch is an ETA 2836-2 movement from precious time. I will try to source another rep second hand - I got rid of mine stupidly. Any ideas where I can get a rep second hand??? http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff303/h.../Picture001.jpg
