Finepics
Does anyone have a high res scan of an older Rolex dial or know what font they use?
ubiquitous
They tend to vary, depending on age, reference, etc. Are you looking for modern, or vintage?

poopypants
that would be sweet if someone could make a good vintage style font for the vintage models... i guess scanning an original dial is out of question?
ubiquitous
There are a ton of variations with the coronet, even within the same reference! You have, tall and spikey, short and fat, large opening, small opening, flat opening... A good example is with the DRSD 1665- There are 5 different dial types for this one ref, and each one varies as the dials were made by different sources (e.g. Beyler, Singer, etc). If you can narrow it down to a specific watch's reference, I can check and see what pics I have. You can either post as a reply here, or hit me up on PM if that works better for you... Finepics
Thanks for the help on this guys. I am actually looking for the logo used in the 1930-40's so I think the pics Sherrington posted will do. Only thing I could tell from the photo of the watch I am interested in is that the X and the E are quite different, but since my project will be somewhat unique I don't think anyone would know. I don't want to give away too much at the moment but you all know where my interests lie so that might give you a clue!!!!
madasboot
Hi Mark, Here they go. Hope it helps... almost 40´s and 50´s dials. The font on almost cases looks like SuperFrench (and slightly fatter than the one shown on Sherrington pics). Cheers, M.
