docdoc Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 Hello, I wonder if anybody might know if a quartz movement exists to fit this gen dial? If not is there any other movement (apart from the expensive omega one) that could fit in this dial?

If not is there any other movement (apart from the expensive omega one) that could fit in this dial? Looks like a miyota os20 could possibly work. ...and if you find out where to get one cheap, let me know. I need one myself for a quartz PO Chrono that's acting up.
offshore Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 No, An OS20 would put the stem in the wrong position! And pushers would not line up either. (They are A$36.20 wholesale here in Oz BTW) Can't see anything in the Miyota range that would work. Maybe ETA? Offshore PS Had a quick look at ETA, doesn't appear like anything there has a chance either.

I guess I was just paying attention to the dial markings, and just had a knee-jerk os20/fs20 reaction. I should double-check my PO Chrono guess before I order something.

offshore Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 PM sent, However that link is to a DG3836 which is a Chinese auto, not quartz. Subsequently I see Ofrei has it for U$17.80. (A better option than mine!) Might work, check the dial spacings, and depends on case/pushers being used. Offshore
docdoc Posted September 19, 2008 Author Report Posted September 19, 2008 Wow...keep us posted. If a readily available, inexpensive auto movement exists to fit a gen dial, that would be amazing. A swap to a non-display back caseback, and you are as close to a gen speedy moon as you can get I think. That is the idea
