www_watch
Went out and got me some new screws for my 111 yesterday. I didn´t like the ones that came with it. Too much rounded and flimsy looking on the threaded side. So I thought.... why not use gen´s? Here´s the result. Looks like they´re maybe a little little little bit (maybe 0,1mm) too short on the slotted side. But the other side is looking much better IMO. Much more visible, flat and nicely filling the hole. What do you think? I guess I really have to find the time today to pack it up and send it to palpatine for the complete mod package. I just can´t part with it...... PALP!!! You don´t have to wait any longer! It´s going to be sent today!!!!
dadog13
well...lately seen a lot of complaints about flaws on reps...but that somebody actually cares if the screw is 0,1mm too short...oh man! that is....I am speachless.. well, in the end i am glad that you are happy now! www_watch
@ dadog13 Hehe...... I just wanted to say that they´re a little bit from being flush with the case. But after having spent a look at the reference section on paneris.. .com I just found out that the gens are not completely flush either. So..... WHO CARES???? *LOL* Maybe I should call it "PERFECT" or "1:1" now. *LOL* Edited July 13, 2006 by www_watch

www_watch
@ leitztozeiss I got them from the local dealer. I brought my brother´s Oysterquartz in for repair (always something wrong with that thing....) and asked for some Panerai screws. He brought a set and just said: "Here you are." And guess what...... they were for free. (maybe I should have also asked for new tubes.... ) That´s customer service! The tendency in replica watches in the moment is to spend 90% of the effort and money for the movement (like the Swiss Unitas, 2892, 7753 etc), concentrate on idiotic little things in the movement like -non functioning swan necks AND then keep give aways like -cheap screws- -cheap bracelets and straps which directly makes the whole watch look cheap and fake !!! www_watch
@ norbert My point is that I prefer to change what I am ABLE to change. Rather than waiting for the manufacturers. I can´t make a better movement or case so I concentrate on smaller things. Adding a new strap or those screws is really fun for me and I love the way it turned out. I enjoy my 111 more now while I´m waiting for other things. SO WHEN WILL SOMEONE COME UP WITH THE CORRECT "OFFICINE PANERAI" ON THE MOVEMENT...... I have a 111H and I also directly replaced the strap and the screws!!
