southwest
I am a Noobie here. My first reason to join the forum was just to find a respected dealer to buy a watch from. After spending time in this forum, I now have the "bug" and want to try to work with watches instead of looking at them! I have been looking for a list of basic tools that are needed for performing disassembly and basic mods. Is there a list some where that I missed? Hope this question hasn't been asked 4,000,000 times before. Regards, Al

chubbchubb
First of all, be prepared to ruin any watch you put your hands on. Like they say on WWF ..."the stuff we do, takes years to perfect..."
Toadtorrent
It all depends on the mods you need to do. If you are getting AR done...you might need a crystal press...for CG shaping a dremel...for luming lots of spare dials, oilers, and a lume kit, etc etc. As an example of the tools used for a movement swap, see a repost of Ajoesmith's tutorial I just put up:
southwest
Thanks for the information. I don't know how much I will do so I am going to start with the "good" small tools and a Dremel. Regards, Al
