cwai02
I think the Asian version looks better. Also, Not to forget you are selling the movement for $500+.

Highflyingclive
The Zigmeister speaks very highly of the Asian copy of the hand-wind 6497 movements...
t
The Zigmeister speaks very highly of the Asian copy of the hand-wind 6497 movements... The Zigmeister say: ....???? asian unitas movements with cotes de geneve style have a regulator without function???? simple regulator is a dummy???? look here
Highflyingclive
My understanding is that the regulator is quite functional. It lacks the swan-neck hardware... which isn't necessary on the real watch, let alone on the rep. It does look pretty... but that's its main purpose in life Marketing flim-flam, in my opinion. A feature without a major benefit. Millions of other movements manage quite happliy without the swan-neck gubbins.

MAHLER
Nice project tourbillon1801 !!! I don't share your hate on the Asian movements, some movements are for instance very beautiful & precise as this :
ubiquitous
I just love the way that movement looks. It's finish is very intriguing and makes for an interesting swap in the Jones case.
t
Nice project tourbillon1801 !!! I don't share your hate on the Asian movements, some movements are for instance very beautiful & precise as this : i don´t like asian movements, because they looks bad i hate it because they works bad if asian movements works like swiss movements... i will never buy a swiss movement again i have over 10 demaged replica watches here with asia 7750 and asia unitas movements NEVER AGAIN i have paid so much money for watchmaker and spend so much time BTW... test the simple regulator on china unitas movement with cotes de geneve style... test it please. YOU WILL SEE IT IS WITHOUT FUNCTION
MAHLER
BTW... test the simple regulator on china unitas movement with cotes de geneve style... test it please. YOU WILL SEE IT IS WITHOUT FUNCTION You have reason. But not all the asian movements working bad. Unfortunately the reps are not a good point of departure to judge the Asian watchmaking. Unfortunately the reps are not a good point of departure to judge the Asian watchmaking. you are right not "all" asian movements work bad if a asian movement work... they will work long time but most of asian movements are demaged and without control swiss movements work 99,9%... i have NEVER received a demaged movement
MAHLER
swiss movements work 99,9%... i have NEVER received a demaged movement Statistically is right the 99% of the Swiss movements they don't have problems. However I have noticed above all lately on brands Hamilton and Edox the spiral of the balance wist badly and folded up.
