Is there any difference in these subs? are they the same

this one is advertised as having a deeper rehaut.

from the pics, it's kinda hard to tell.

These are both noobmariners, right?

or are they different cases?

an mbk/euro would have the deeper rehaut, but the price doesn't reflect a euro.

so what would be different about them?

the top one is a noob sub, the bottom one isn't. The bottom isn't a very good sub. It has its cyclop too far to the right and a conical rehaut. It doesn't have enough rehaut thickness either. Neither watch is an MBK/Euromariner.

In the past, Paul's noob sub w/ eta (aka the so called perfect sub) was a good deal. I guess it still would be if you got a true eta. But now days there's just no way to know until you get the watch- and who wants to fool around with shipping it back, etc. if it isn't an eta.

PT's WM9 sub at around $345 w/ eta is probably the best deal right now, if there are still any available. The Euromariner w/ the DG2813 is the cheapest ($278), but then you're taking a chance on the DG movement. Both cases are more correct than the noob case. The Euromariner with eta and WM9 sub are more expensive, but very good. All have the correct bezel assembly and are the closest copies to the gen so far.

so people have had problems with paying for an eta movement from paul and got a copy or 4813 or worse a 2813?!?!?

not just with paul- real etas are getting very hard to come by period.

Yeh, it's not just Paul, it's all of the dealers. The copy eta's are everywhere, and some get passed off as gen eta. Some do OK, some don't. I have a noob w/ the copy eta which has run flawlessly for 2 years- I just hope it continues to do so. Servicing the copies can be hit or miss- some watchmakers don't want to mess with them. If you buy an eta, you won't get a DG2813/4813- or at least you shouldn't- if you did, I'd send it back.

Look a eurotimez euromariner.

When you buy a gen eta from chris he makes sure thats what you get.

I had mine open this week to have an adjustment done (no fault to chris) and it was verifed by the watchmaker as a gen eta

it's been reviwed plenty here and is an amzing watch.
