fulanito_uk
Forgive my ignorance, but I have noticed in a number of photos (mainly the Vintage Rolexes) you guys have no pearl in the bezel just the hole where it should be
AllergyDoc
Usually these are gens. The pearl likely fell out years ago and putting a new one on would look out of place.
Toadtorrent
Exactly like the Doc says...but in other cases, they are people's vintage rep works and they are trying to capture the look of some of the old gens that were considered workhouse tool watches before they became valued at $100K+ on the rare vintage market. It goes along with sticking your vintage case in a tupperware tube with rocks and throwing it in the dryer to get that banged up look.
freddy333
Some people remove the pearl because they feel that a modern pearl detracts from the vintage appearance. Different strokes.
rolex001
Some also retrofit genuine vintage Tritium pearls to get the look back to original.
