He was very involved in the stamp community, and we literally have a closet FULL of stamp albums that we have no idea what to do with. Suggestions? Chances are everyone would just fight if someone requested to keep them. Could be a small fortune there. Just to err on the side of caution.. Let me say they are not kept at any address I've ever given out. Theres a cop living on premesis and everyone there is armed to the teeth. Nightstroker Posted November 20, 2008 Report Share Posted November 20, 2008 The first thing you need to do is go out and buy a stamp pricing guide. You can find them at any bookstore. The second thing you need to do is separate the USA stamps from all others. Typically, USA stamps will have the highest value. Then you need to go through the stamps one by one and price them out. You should start with stamps that have notable figures....like Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington....etc. It should be easy to price out those stamps. If he was an avid stamp collector, then there should be some organization to the collection....perhaps by year. That will help you price them out.
