Hi and welcome to RWG

To be honest it is not even worth the time to look at the site you have listed as there is nothing new or better out on the web that can't be found here on our site.

Take a little time reading through our forum and you will soon realise that you have landed in the right place for all your rep shopping.

This board exists to save everybody time, frustration, etc in their quest for quality watches. What Ken said sums it all up.

Welcome aboard. Read me Noob Guide and you'll hit the ground running.

Ken and Toad Thanks for your response.

Well.. Here is my problem. I was introduced to replicas by one of my co-workers who is a board member here. He recommended a collector whom he dealt with in the past and did not have any issues. After reviewing the website and going by my friends recommendation I purchased a GMT II from Angus (PureTime). Watch looked beautiful but GMT hand never worked. After a few days, I noticed that the watch was falling behind or stopping all together. I contacted Angus and he happily offered to fix or replace it, so I sent the watch back to him. In the mean time he assured me that this was a very rare case and he would resolve it pretty easily. Some weeks later I received the replacement watch with an excitement you all know :-) to find out that the GMT hand gets out of sync or stops after a few days. Watch still falls behind a few minutes a week or stops completely. Contacted Angus back and he offered to send me a new movement, but he went on vacation before he sent it(Business must be good. I'd like to do that too but, I used my vacation money on my watch :-)). So he referred me to his partner Peter. I contacted Peter, explained the whole situation and his response was for me to send the watch back to be FIXED "AGAIN". As you can see, anyway I cut it the cost of my NEW watch continues to grow. As I mentioned before, I'm new to this experience but I doubt it is an acceptable practice to send the watch back once or twice before it works the way it is designed to. To make the long story short, are there some collectors out there who are more dedicated and practice good QA process? I would love to get a replica for my wife, but I really would like it to work properly the first time I receive it, if it's not too much to ask. :g: Since puretime can not provide that level of service, I

I've owned 5 watches with GMT hands.

The first one, an $85 21J cheapie, didn't run well at all, at first. I became frustrated and tossed it in the watch box. A couple of months later I pulled it out and it ran flawlessly 98% after that.

The only other one I've had a problem with is my correct handstack GMT-II Ceramic. The GMT hand runs fast, very fast. But the rest of the watch keeps excellent time, it looks great, and I don't really need the GMT function anyway.

The other 3 worked without flaw. The problem with GMT watches is the basic movement must be modified to run the GMT hand as they are not true GMT movements. The modifications make them prone to functional problems. Your story is not par for the course, though. Sounds like you just got a dud.

@Cache it's a bit difficult for any of us to say "Use this dealer" because everyone has different opinions of each dealer.

There was an old member that used to say "Choose your dealer then choose your watch" and it is still probably very good advice.

Simply you should go to the reviews section and read through others experiences with each dealer and make a personal decision on which dealer is right for you.

That said Narikaa has a nice collection of ladies watches. ;)
