Hey all,

I just got in my new BP and when examining the AR, I noticed a ton of scratches. At first I thought it was the residue that was left behind by the plastic crystal protector, but it's not coming off. Do you all think it is a problem with the AR? I wanted to find out what it was first.

Thanks,

That's what AR looks like when it has been against something abrasive. I would let your dealer know, it might have been poorly packaged before sending out.

I will let my dealer know and see how the situation is handled.

Apparently the AR on the outside of the BP is very susceptible to this... Even a polishing cloth can strip off the AR on these. Perhaps that's what happened here... (the stripping is on the edges.)

I have also tons of very small scrathes on the AR but are invisible.

Can only being seen under a strong lamp light and only under a certain angle.

Maybe we have a kind of an AR issue with all the BP V1 version here (pending on what other members can say).

What are you all doing prior to sending your crystals for an AR coating? Are you have all of the AR removed or doing it yourself? Can you recommend a quick way to get all of it off.

Just to add, that the AR on mine clearly now shows the same AR problems.

It's getting worse day by day.

..... and I am only clean it with just water and drying it with a soft cloth (so no chemicals here).

Definitely some issues here with the watch (AR).

Dont know if it applies to all or simply there was a bad batch.
