numptyj
Hi guys, I took the spring bar out of my PO chrono today with a small screwdriver but when trying to put it back in I was stumped and couldn't get it back in. I've been looking on the net for something I saw on a program the other day about Tag Heuer and it looks like this... Is there a place where I can get this relatively cheap or a cheaper brand? Many thanks
jot9011
You don't need that monstrous contraption. A simple spring bar tool works well. Cheap ones can be had for less than $10. Think I paid around $35 for mine at Ofrei

Shundi
Sometimes the bars get bent or won't align, etc... in that case it's easiest to just take it to a local mall kiosk (not an authorized dealer) and ask them to install new springbars. Most will have no problem doing that regardless of whether they know/you disclose the watch is a rep. Maybe $10 at the most, if you're charged more than that tell them to f off
numptyj
The problem I seem to be having is that if I try and push it in one end the other end does not stay in (if that makes sense) so I wanted something that will allow me to push both ends of the spring bar at the same time in order to get the strap back on. Also the springbar does not appear to be bent, and I like the feeling of being able to sort my watch out myself rather than go to a watch kiosk (which is what I did to get the bracelet resized as it was only

narikaa
@numptyj Believe me the one pictured is as good as it gets The 'micro fork' at one end is ideal for dealing with spring bars recessed in metal end links. The 'lever fork' painlessly deals with leather straps. To ease your quest As you are conveniently in the UK and Xmas is just around the corner.............. PM me the shipping address and one is on its way to you (FOC) ;-)
