smc
Want to see how crazy I am? Part 1 I removed all of the markers with a very small screw driver. Soaked them in nail polish remover overnight, and scraped out the old lume/varnish with a toothpick. You can see how the dial appears to have been handled quite a bit. It was that way before I received it. Rodico did not help. Neither did dish soap lol. Any other ideas? I did not try rubbing alcohol yet. The logo on this dial seems to be flat whereas my UPO is domed? Gonna re-lume it tomorrow.
Shundi
I would think a harsh solvent like rubbing alcohol would remove the paint....not sure though, just speculation
andreww
I have used one of those LCD screen wipes on a Planet Ocean dial and it worked quite well. I assume its some kind of alcohol based product as it evaporates quite quickly and doesn't leave any residue. Worth a try.
