Guest Dr.TuB
anyone?
Toadtorrent
It looks like the standard gold plated DG2813. Many that come in the Noobmariner, etc are nickel plated with the red wheel to look like the Rolex movements...but out of the box, they are generally gold. azerbyjam
anyone? Can't give you an exact model number but its a Chinese movement, there are several similar to this on Cousins website. Hope you didn't buy Swiss and got this instead. http://www.cousinsuk.com/catalog/4/40/1921.aspx

Guest Dr.TuB
no i bought an asian upo but i just wasnt sure which chinese movement it had... am i able to do a swap for the high beat DG4813 on my asian upo? the one in my watch is low beat... and also it is not smooth at all... i was told that im not able to change the movement because casing was different for movements... is this true? Here's a pic of the standard DG2813 for reference and comparison:

I'm not so sure on that. The 4813 is a direct swap to the 2813 in a Noobmariner...so it should be the same for the UPO if the footprints of the 2 are the same in the Noob. It's easier to swap the date overlay (assuming it's using one) than it is to swap the datewheel. The datewheel swap can be a bit tricky to get the datewheel working properly after removal. Check Ajoesmith's tutorial that I reposted because his original one stopped working with the pictures being absent. It's linked in my signature. You can also look at my Franck Muller movement guide too...that shows another movement swap in detail for reference.
Guest Dr.TuB
does anyone know where i can source a DG 4813 with black datewheel and white numbers? I'm not so sure on that. FxrAndy
I know that cousinsuk have that one abd if you have an old one with the black date wheel you can swap it over but it is not easy, i have never seen one with a black date wheel for sale. Guest Dr.TuB
damn... how come what i said was replicated 3 times? anyway, i want to make my second hacking a little bit smoother. by comparing the DG2813 to my swiss eta, DG2813 stutters a lot... and since i dont want to spend too much on thie Asian UPO (my beater) i am looking for a DG4813 with Black datewheel (taking the datewheel on my DG2813 wont help as it has the white datewheel)

It will also be the wrong font and likely not centred properly. You would need a date overlay and dial spacer to accomodate the increased thickness...and hope that the raised dial doesn't affect mounting the hands. If you've seen an Asian PO (not ETA) with the proper wheel you want...odds are good it has an overlay...and you have to source these. I'm trying to figure out where to get these myself for a Rolex. P_Diddy
how long before a DG2813 movement dies, ie what is normal life expectancy? I won't mention servicing the DG2813 movement as it is cheaper to replace.
