RLudlowe Posted January 23, 2009 Report Share Posted January 23, 2009 Does anyone make replacement straps for the Big Bang? I really like the Black Magic - but I equally hate rubber straps. I was thinking about getting one and having a matte black alligator strap made for it. On the face it looks pretty simple, the strap is just a square of material with a springbar at the end. mwee Posted January 23, 2009 Report Share Posted January 23, 2009 I think the gen Hublot does have or offer leather or alligator straps. To make one is not that simple, I think. there is no springbar. the strap is attached to the watch via the 2 screws that you see on the metal piece in between the lugs. so besides the cut-off, you will need 2 holes on the strap. I think AP bands did announce they do intend to make one but not sure if this is out already or not. yes hublot has gator straps for bigbang. but where the strap connects the watch is rubber, because there are only 2 thin screws holding the strap so leather could be destroyed after time. similar to AP straps with metal inside i think it will be very hard to make it, you need to find a maker who is dedicated to hbb aftermarket straps or just buy the gen strap, IMO. btw imho, gator strap would look weird on HBB Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
