Tim Hortons - as good as gold!

I recently picked up an ajoesmith DG4813 to replace the ailing movement in my black UPO Lite. As the new movements only come with white datewheels, ripped apart the old movement, removed the black datewheel, and over the lunch hour stopped by my loacal watchsmith to do the transplant. As I walked in he was in the middle of a battery replacement on a ladies watch and he asked me if I could come back in 15 minutes. No problem, but as I only had ten dollars in my pocket, I asked him what the bill would be. He glanced at the movement the looked at me and asked "could you bring me back a large double double from Tim Hortons?" With our ailing dollar its no wonder that Tim's coffee has become our new currency!

BTW, I broached the subject of him working on reps. He seemed to have no problems with it. So for anybody in downtown Toronto who might need services like dial and hand swaps, crystal replacement, movement servicing, etc., I know someone ;)
