andreww Posted January 23, 2009 Report Share Posted January 23, 2009 I recently picked up an ajoesmith DG4813 to replace the ailing movement in my black UPO Lite. As the new movements only come with white datewheels, ripped apart the old movement, removed the black datewheel, and over the lunch hour stopped by my loacal watchsmith to do the transplant. As I walked in he was in the middle of a battery replacement on a ladies watch and he asked me if I could come back in 15 minutes. No problem, but as I only had ten dollars in my pocket, I asked him what the bill would be. He glanced at the movement the looked at me and asked "could you bring me back a large double double from Tim Hortons?" With our ailing dollar its no wonder that Tim's coffee has become our new currency! BTW, I broached the subject of him working on reps. He seemed to have no problems with it. FxrAndy Posted January 23, 2009 Report Share Posted January 23, 2009 The best thing i found about Tim Hortons in Lethbridge when i was there early last year was that the bar opened @ 11 and steak and eggs were a great cure for a hangover when served with another beer.
