Viva Las Vegas

I'm heading to Vegas in a few weeks on a conference and I wondered if any forum members could point me in the direction of a nice place or two to look at watches?

I've been before, but mostly ate, drank and played on the tables. This time I fancy widening my horizons so any other recommendations on how to spend the evening would be great.

Go to Cesars Casino and go through the forum shops. There are several high-end watch shops there. Perhaps the biggest is Torneau. They have everything there... The prices are a little high, but fun for a good look!

Have fun!

+1 Lots to look at there. Last time I was there the Panerai selection was a little weak, but the had 2-3 rose gold Radiomirs that were pretty cool.

Ditto. There is also a great watch shop in just about every casino. Get in a cab and go to the outlet mall. Good eyecandy there. If you are more adventurous check out someof the pawn shops around fremont street, but go during daylight. The neighborhood is kind of rough. Lots of gamblers pawn their watches in Vegas.

There was a store in the back of the rio or the palms last time I was there had a great selection of AP. The sales lady was all over me. I tried on about $250k worth of watches. :D

I have been to the Tourneau in the forum shops every year for the last four years and the sales people in there are extremely rude and ignore the customers. Tourneau is a good place to "window" shop but they won't give you much help and won't cut you a deal. They are most interested in signing people up for their credit card.

I spoke with a sales lady at another watch shop in the forum and mentioned it to her and she says that her customers complain about them all the time, so it is not just me. I ended up buying a Tag in her shop because she was great to deal with and gave me a discount.

If you are really looking to buy, check out the shops in the Venetian. They have two or three smaller shops that are great to deal with. Most casinos do have their own dealers but service is extremely hit and miss. I struck out at the shop in the Mirage before we went to the Beatles Cirque show.
