chronology1066 Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Hi All Just working on some dial stuff including an MM dial deep sea vintagised. Early days but getting the ageing technique nailed first
FxrAndy Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Looks a bit further than i would like to go Les
Daytona4me Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 You will need a nicely oxidized case to go along with this in order to pull it off. Hands of course but I'm sure you are working on that. These kinds of projects are fun.. Look forward to the final result. Good Job.
chronology1066 Posted February 9, 2009 Author Report Posted February 9, 2009 For the dial, the importanty thing is to seal it afterwards to save the salt crystals getting into the movement. The case is going to a place near me for bead blasting and I am considering a bronze pvd. It will be quite extreme but it will certainly be unique
Bjorn Morten Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 Wow! Keep us updated on this fantastic project!
Chuan Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 I would say this looks like it belongs at the bottom of the sea. It'll look pretty extreme with an equally beat up case. Love to see the final result.
ThinkBachs Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 One of my favorite "vintage" watch photos... Your watch looks like it's on it's way to being a real work of art. Reminds me of this... I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of the watch turns out.
