Stripped threads on UPO

Ok guys need your help,

I know this is a common problem and Ive seen all sorts of answers to this problem but they all seem to contradict one another couple of questions though for the experts since i cant screw in the crown

1. Is the problem the crown which has stripped threads or the tube that sticks out of the case?

2. If its the tube then you only need to purchase the tube and not the crown right and then you have to tap out the other tube which is attached to the case

what do the experts think

Ok can anyone tell me if an original screw down crown 069 ST 42184 will fit the rep stem and actually screw down. If I can get an answer to this I ought to be able to fix it without having to purchase a gen tube and tap it.

If you want to install a Gen Crown you need to buy a Gen tube. they are totally different. I also believe that the Gen Tube is slimmer and in that case it need to be glue with some kind of glue that expand like gorilla glue.

My UPO stripped again for the second time but is the crown not the tube what breaks.

Save yourself some heartache...get the Gen crown & tube! It's a 3 outta 5 on the skill, but it's oh so worth it!
