aneki Posted February 17, 2009 Report Share Posted February 17, 2009 I was about to adjust the beat timing by adding length of the strokes when I accidently slipped and touched the little round wheel spinning right beneath the adjustment part and the wheel stops. Now I know nothing about watch repair and I don't feel like touching more before hearing advice from someone a tad more experienced. Did I break something or just lodge something out of place? In either case, how do I fix it and is it possible for someone that isn't spending too much time inside clocks but for someone that mostly looks at them on the outside? FxrAndy Posted February 17, 2009 Report Share Posted February 17, 2009 I dont want to be depressive but you have more than lightly damaged the balance spring, and that is about the most delicate bit in a watch, if it does not cause the balance wheel to swing any more find a rep friendly repair man. Used it for a couple months now but actually never opened it but figured I needed to adjust the timing a bit.
