freddy333 Posted March 15, 2009 Report Share Posted March 15, 2009 Never seen it before, but my guess is that it is 1 of the many non-Rolex watch companies in the teens & 20s that used to buy calibres from Rolex to use with their own dial/case. I was thinking of getting it for my wife (I know another seller who has a pristine dial) and altogether it wouldn't cost me much over $100aud...but is it worth it? I will try on TZ later. freddy333 Posted March 15, 2009 Report Share Posted March 15, 2009 Other than the damaged dial, the only possible downside I can see is if your wife (like most women) is blinded by the damage on the dial to the point that she ignores the quality that lurks just beneath it. As long as you are bidding or paying based on the understanding that you are getting an excellent movement (that will likely require service) in a non-Rolex case, you cannot lose.
