Omega 007 QoS - any good?

Hello everyone,

So, I'm hoping to order my very first rep tomorrow, but I'm still not sure what watch I should get. It's either going to be the 42mm PO or the QoS.

The thing I really like on the 007 QoS is the gun-like grip. The engraving on the crystal is a bit of a downside, but I've read that it isn't too bad (only visible viewed at certain angles).

As I'm quite new to the rep crowd (been lurking for a while now), I'm not good at spotting whether a rep is good one, or not. What do you guys think of these?

Furthermore, I've read that I should be careful purchasing Swiss ETA movements, because some sellers sell copy ETA movements as Swiss ETA movements? Is this the same with these sellers? They should be reliable, right?

This one is based on the UPO so it is a great replica, with minimal flaws.

As for the ETA movement, both of these dealers dropship, so they cannot guarantee it is Swiss. Although they will offer you recourse if it isn't. If you want genuine ETA, I would advise buying from someone like Bk, or Eurotimez who actually checks the watch first. Alternatively, buy one that is a confirmed asian clone and save yourself some money, in my opinion, the ETA is not worth the premium!

Dito above, the asian eta clone is not a bad movement and if you do have a problem a service will more than likely solve the problem and even the swiss eta could do with a service as there is just as little QC with the eta in a rep.

For the ETA you will pay a premium. IMO you could better buy the clone movement which is also very good and use that money you save on a complete overhaul (service) of the movement. So that it will run even a lot better than the ETA (out of the box the eta should be better, but the eta will most times be old movements which are not proper oiled anymore and need service, although they run still quite well) after service the clone will probably run better than the out of the box eta.

about the QoS. I am sure it will become bugging when the next Bond movie is out. And maybe you get tired of it. And besides the 'real' Bond in the movies also just wears the Omega watch and not with a QoS marking on it.
