How do people in the uk insure there Gen watches?

house insurance will be the cheapest option. i work at an AD and that's what we privately recommend.

Yup.. listen to asim !!.. fyi.. make sure the policy covers anything you take out of your home.. incase .. something unforeseen happens and your precious watch is stolen from your car ..etc.

I have my watches listed separately on my contents insurance which is an all risks policy which covers while being worn. I pay around

In these harsh economic times I d recommend a safe too, nothing would [censored] me off more than having the hassle of making a claim.

You can insure reps to.. seriously I discussed this with my broker a while back and we advised the insurance company what they were, how much they cost (justified with paypal details etc) and they covered them (for an extra premium of course).

I would double check your position with them...as often a loss adjuster dealing with a future claim will declare them as contraband (on the grounds that you did not / cannot prove payment of correct import duties on amount paid) and thus uninsurable
