FasTTaP
Just found this at http://perfect-clones.com/779-p-1632.html Looks pretty good, the logo's still a little too big, but there's a fill between A and P, it looks slim... What do you guys think ?

4fun
It shows $0.00. So i think it's not available yet. I got to have this
ubiquitous
Looks pretty damn good. Probably one of the best Royal Oaks to have come out in a very long time! Now I have a dilemma... Get this, or a new old stock Breitling Titanium Seawolf? Perhaps I'll just have to get both
thomasng
OK, I will give you guys a small guide why this is the one to get over the Jumbo: 1. AP logo is finally correct! It's thin and not the bloated one. 2. SS screws! The gold screws looked good, but nonetheless were still far off from the gen. 3. Solid case back. That was the dead giveaway on the Jumbo rep. 4. Correct case profile. Previous problem was that the case thickness screamed fake. It's perfect on this one. Flaws I can see: 1. Bezel screws look a little messy 2. Case back engraving isn't sharp enough. 3. Date font is a teensy bit off. Otherwise, perfect rep. Believe it or not, but I intend to order the black, blue and white dial versions. thomasng
Admin- I think you need the two tone one too! Gotcha! AP didn't make a grey dial for the E-series and later 14790s.
ubiquitous
No, no... I'm saying you simply need it to have it... Linky to Jos' two tone... http://perfect-clones.com/776-p-1629.html LOL's
thomasng
I'll consider it. I finally saw a recent TT 14790 for the first time today. [censored]- I just noticed the "T Swiss Made T" (bangs head on desk repeatedly)

archibald
The RO expert here gives his two thumbs up. This is the one to have. If Admin says this is your huckleberry, this is your huckleberry. Also, I think I can tell by the serial that (I used to own one) this is the version that MBW was selling at one point--but it looks like the dial has been improved and the screws have been done in silver. If it is the same case...the case is the correct thickness. I bought an OEM blue dial for the jumbo on ebay a while back--does anyone know if, feet grinding aside, it will fit this rep? Don't waste the dial. It is meant for the discontinued version from EL, case size is different. It wouldn't work on it anyways as the date window is 2 or 3mm to the right on the genuine. If it's for a Jumbo... Probably not. This looks like the old 36mm casing that they used on the Faldo...

thedoctor
I have the Nick Faldo and certainly don't need this watch. I'm sure I'm going to end up getting it anyway b/c it's so accurate.

I just tried this on today at Tourneau. I think the only "dead" give away is the quality of the bezel screws. The AP was immaculate. Perhaps this is a bad pic though. ratchpot
This looks like the old 36mm casing that they used on the Faldo... It may be the same case. The big difference is the bezel. The screws in the picture on this rep look a bit mangled in places. Another difference (between this and the gen) is that the bezel isn't close enough to the edges of the case at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock. The gap is at least twice as much as it should be. This was an area of the Faldo rep which they did better. Some more flaws that they haven't fixed: 1. Placement of the AP logo should be more to the left so that it is directly under the "60". 2. The word "Automatic" is too big (in both height and width). 3. The hour hand is too wide. It should be the same width as the minute hand. 4. The TT has many more problems: the gold colouring looks way off, the date window should be black font on gold background and, I don't think they ever released this TT model with grey dial (it should be white); also on the TT model there should be minute markers at 14, 15 and 16. Watchmeister
This is one of one or two tone watches i really like. I have the gen and it is beautiful. Of course, Thomas is right. All it says is Swiss on the bottom. Mine is about 15 years old. But it is damn exciting that AP's are finally appearing in good form.
