Modifying endlinks

Cats

Recommended Posts

I've been playing around with some end links that i've had laying around to mod them for gen springbars.

I thought the easiest way to do it is by cutting the tubes ,that are in the endlink open, and bent them untill they accept the 2mm springbars.

After doing this the springbar didn't stay in place so that wasn't the solution.

Can anybody give me a hint or tip how to do this modd.

Thanks in advance.

Good advice. I've also found some old endlinks are worn very thin at the tubes, and there's just no structural integrity there. I've toyed with the idea of some silver solder across the gap once it's bent to the right diameter. Never tried it though.........

Just finished them and it worked out well.

I used a little sanding paper wheel to sand the bottum part of the old tube away to get the springbar as far as it could into the curved part of the end link.

It's night time right now here in Holland and i always use sunlight to shoot my pictures so you have the wait at least untill tomorrow for the result.

Thanks again Zigmeister
