Is DSN PVD very durable?

Hello All!!

I was wondering how durable and scratch resisitant the PVD finish is on DSN cases? I just got one and wanted to know if i should be worried about wearing it everyday.

Mine is fine... after months of owning it. However, I have accepted the fact that it's going to be scratched eventually. With mine, a small scratch will disappear after wearing it for a while.

it's a rather thin coat.. it's not too much the scratches but the wearing down of the coating..

I am saving up for getting my SS case DLC'ed in fact. If you want something black/dark, I think DLC is the way to go instead of PVD.

I think his older PVD was probably more durable. I've had this case since May of 2006:

The finish has been thoroughly worked over with a cape cod to eliminate the chalky look. Still in good shape after 3 years...
