baglc1 Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 A few years ago i could have swore there was a write up by 1 member with photos about the vintage seamaster cosmic 2000 diver, but cant find it. Ive just pulled the trigger on one, a year 1978 and its looks excellent. Anybody any idea or own one to let me know if its the right thing ive done. Cheers.
Jimster Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 The Cosmic 2000 60m/200ft. is a great desk diver. If I recall correctly 38mm with a screw down crown. I have about 3 different models but only one with the 60m. I think they are powered by a 1012 movement. WARNING, this Omega case requires an Omega case tool for the 3 piece case and will not come apart easily. You can't even get the crystal off without one. The Chuck Maddox site has information on them. Congrats on a fine watch! Jim
Shundi Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 Omega Tool 105? I think Bergeron makes a generic crystal extractor that might work...my Constellation has the same setup
baglc1 Posted June 16, 2009 Author Report Posted June 16, 2009 (edited) Thats the watch Jimster. Thanks for your input guys, i wont be needing the tool because i will not be opening it, its just had full service and pressure tested again. Edited June 16, 2009 by baglc1
Jimster Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 Just for the fun of it - here's a comparison to another Cosmic. I also have the day/date with cream dial. Omega made some other dials as well. Jim
Wayward Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 Is this it? Aw man thats nice! Congrats on the capture of such a sweet watch...wear it well!
