Maybe I am missing something here, but normally the seller's responsibility ends when the package is shipped. He's out the watch, your out 45 pounds, stuff happens sometimes and everyone looses...

I would say go for the PO, as it's the better rep, also buy it on the bracelet and ask for an additional rubber strap at the same time, the rep rubber straps aren't great so you have something to fall back on.
