Haven't posted in a while, but my new vintage grey leather military strap for my JLC got me inspired:

I received a GMT Master II Asian Clone ETA 2836 from Marvellous Replica a couple of months ago and am very pleased with it. It ran about 15 seconds fast at first, but I bought the Kello app and was able to regulate it so it's about +5 sec/day. The bracelet was not very smooth at first, but I soaked it in WD40 and that made a noticeable improvement. The bezel has a little slack to it, but it's not bad--only about 1/2 minute counter clockwise. Also, the lack of AR on the cyclops makes the date a little hard for me to read sometimes. The flaw on this particular watch is the lume on the minute hand. The factory put a blue hand instead of a green one. My plan is to have the entire watch re-lumed some day. Luckily, out of site, out of mind so I don't notice it most of the time. A lume shot was not one of my requests during the QC process--but this is my first rep and I've learned--and am still learning!

Yes i know,the watch was sold as advertised then is all i was asking,i got the feeling i was being misled. I know its not a vintage Newman. But it came across as any reference to newman on this watch is bs and as the guy i bought it from i consider a friend,that annoyed me. So it is a newman dial offcially,as advertised,but just for marketing purposes,by Rolex.

I looked at that dial for a long time. I like the inverted '6' on the hour subdial and the small markers at 3-6-9. The print is good except that it is missing some from the 'P' in Superlative and the 'O' in Cosmograph. The arabic hour markers are also missing a good amount of the black paint. The bezel has wear but no sign of being gold plated. It wouldn't be a bad idea to have an independent watchmaker look at the movement- going to a Rolex dealer could be a disappointment although if it's a rep, they probably wouldn't confiscate it, but who knows.

Hi Watchmeister, thanks for your feedback! I just bought the watch and the awesome IWC buffalo strap. As soon as it is here and the dial arrived I will change this and post some pictures. Lets see what can be done than.

i noticed this one too, its actually not bad, doesnt look mass factory produced tho as if someone took some time and effort to build it. i was trying to figure out the source but gave up. rwgs been mirroring a lot of vrf posts today.
