  1. Well, thanks to Hansmeier and a couple of other members who have posted-up some gorgeous pictures of their new Seawolf I could not resist any longer and awoke this morning in a delirious state, drenched in a cold sweat, grabbed the iPad (that had over the course of the night made its way under the pillow), logged-on to TrustyTime (after a bout of cursing whilst frantically trying to remember my TT password), and ordered myself a shiny new Banana Seawolf V2. Now the inevitable waiting game begins till I receive my QC pics (which I shall share here to ensure my old eyes don't miss any details). Pictures of the actual watch received also posted-up on page 2.

  2. Hi Guys, Sorry for the slightly delayed response to my original post, i didn't want to pre-sell them before i had them in hand to inspect . The silver eta discs have now arrived and the good news was that the original post stated a wrong price. Communication dollars to pounds breakdown with the maker! No flat 3's yet but I'm working on it, I've also physically compared these with the Cartel version and these are far better in terms of silver background texture which is less grainy and the print quality is sharper. ALL SOLD! $20.00 shipped Worldwide. Many Thanks DH

  4. Most adults would recognise they were being needled and the mature thing to do is not rise to the bait, or respond to it in an adult manner. I don't consider swearing to be the usual response of an intelligent adult, do you? I know we all do it from time to time, but from your first response the only impression I can take from it is that its your usual mode of reply if you disagree with what someone has said to you (or maybe how it's been said) I hope that's the wrong impression though? What was wrong with saying something like "Thanks, but I have done a bit of searching and this is what I've found (list X, Y and Z), but I can't find any info on A, B and C?" Proves you can rise above the jibe, saves your blood pressure getting annoyed at anyone and will make the original responder look a little bit of a lemon for jumping the gun. Life's too short to get annoyed and have arguments left, right and centre. Anyway, my Breitling rep I got from Joshua and its good apart from the crown / tube threads being dodgy, it only screws in about half a turn from when I got it.

  6. I don't see these in the Forum very much, but I like them. Out of the box they need AR, lume and maybe a service ...

  7. Get a genuine vintage (pre-90s) steel Rolex Sub or Explorer. These tool watches are hearty, understated, will likely maintain or gain in value (so you can pass it on to your kids) & will always show your good taste without the bling of modern luxury watches.

  12. Any light duty polishing compound will remove the scratches and polish up bright and new looking. I use 'Brasso', mostly because I have 38 years worth of half empty cans of the stuff. I use Brasso to finish polish the Rolex 6542 Bakelite/Persex/acrylic/Lexan inserts. It takes out the finishing sanding for a smooth, glossy shine. On deeper scratches use 1500 grit sandpaper to level it out, then polish. The sandpaper will dull and cloud the crystal, the polish will bring it clear, bright and shiny like new.

  13. You think he's the only one? You've got many gens, have been another forum member for years and still don't know how to search for answers to the most common questions? Get off your lazy backside and do some searching, no one hear will give you everything on a silver platter.

  15. Man, how do you guys keep your cars so shiny? No matter what I try, I just can't get any glisten from my paint job. Maybe some wax?
