I cannot believe this thread is still active. If you do not have a pony in this race (that is, you are not personally awaiting the return of a watch from MD2020), please leave this thread to those who do (are). Regardless of what behind-the-scenes information you may or may not have, I think it would be best to leave MD2020 & his customers to sort everything out without the collateral chatter.2 points

JoeyB ... you are really showing your ass, here. Seriously stop posting to this thread. edit: I've come to the conclusion that you're here for the attention which making trouble brings to you. Prove me wrong by stopping.2 points

So this has taken me about 1,5 years to complete (perhaps even longer) but yesterday my Pvd coated parts returned from Rolli and i immediatly put everything together After having purchased Olreon's pre-a i noticed how beautifull Rolli's pvd coatings are (EU based) so I wanted his coating for my beloved 202/a. The procedure Rolli has worked out over the years is meticulous an the results are amazing! So here are some pics And with my 201/a: And the complete pre-vendome family: I'm happy it's finally on my wrist Cheers, Fitch1 point

Not everyone involved feels it necessary to increase the count or post in this thread over and over. Once I heard from mike that he is working on my watches I quit worrying about it. I'll get them back when he's able to get things done and finished with my pieces I volunteered to go the back of the line But Like most everyone involved I can't help but follow the thread to see what's being said. I don't believe the vast najority of comments is in anyway helpful, although everyone has a right to speak his mind1 point

Problem is, you can't. But you can start a PM with multiple participants.1 point

Joey I am neutral in this, Mike is a friend of mine but so are guys with watches that they can not get back due to lack of communication. (A lot of guys posting here have no idea what's going on behind the scenes.) and you are one of them I have spent countless hours PMing people on this. Joey you are a military man you know better than to go into battle with no intel which you are sorely lacking on this, you have no idea what's going on behind the curtain leave it be for Mike's sake, please ! "I just cannot fathom why this thread would concern anyone but those who want to get their watches back." exactly!!!!!!1 point

This thread would be perfectly fine without the unnecessary input. Some of these guys who insist on defending Mike and speaking negatively about those trying to get watches back probably have more posts in here than Mike himself does. I just cannot fathom why this thread would concern anyone but those who want to get their watches back.1 point

PBdad's work is variable. Unless they have been deleted, there are examples of his work here that look like art projects. The one reason I had been hesitant to recommend BK's fine watches in the past was his collaboration with PBdad. I am not saying that PBdad has never done good work. I'm saying his work is variable.1 point

Thanks for posting this S and glad you like it 2.5 years ago Rolli invited me to co-operate with him on a 360 dial prototype. After seeing the results I abandoned my Pre-A / Pre-V dal making because my UK maker just could not reach anywhere near these standards and the bar had been raised ...permanently. Even though I've been involved in every step over the last few years, I'm genuinely still amazed that Rolli's been able to recruit the calibre of manufacturing partners he has to make these dials and the possibilities are almost endless. I was in remission (or denial) for quite some time but after lurking around RWG for a few months I'm finding the pull inexorable....like a moth to headlights!! Cheers FGD1 point

I know that we are all anal about the % of authenticity with our reps, but sometimes we forget that 99.9% of the population truly cannot tell a Rolex from a Times, and furthermore they don't care. I live in a small town, and over the past 35+ years that I have lived here, I bet I haven't seen over 50 Rolex watches on the wrist of folks here, including visitors. I have seen exactly one GMT outside of mine and that was owned by and orthopedic surgeon, and he's no longer here. I suppose if you live in a big city, and/or you are in a situation where you are surrounded by a lot of guys wearing high end watches, you would either have to wear genuine watches, very accurate reps, or walk around with your hand in your pocket all the time!! I doubt that 80% of the guys who own a genuine Rolex GMT could tell you the hand stack sequence without looking down at their watch. I would love to have a good reliable CHS movement, but to me the more obvious tells on this watch are the bezel/insert and crystal, some dials and the lume. AFA the hand stack, only two times a day when the hour hand passes over the GMT hand on the IHS movement is the inaccuracy noticeable, otherwise it requires a real close look at the watch to notice the hand stack. I'm not saying this is inconsequential, but it wouldn't prevent me wearing my GMT out in a crowd.1 point

Contact seller & explain what happened. Include a good, clear pic of the package, showing where it had been opened/resealed. Give the seller a week to respond. In most cases, the seller must initiate a complaint with the shipper. If the seller fails to respond or accept responsibility, register a complaint through ebay & follow their instructions.1 point
