  1. prdubis: Looks like you have one of DW's newer cases i.e. 2011 or later. Do you even own a DW 6263 with a 7750 inside? I've had one since 2009, and a lot of guys here at RWG have owned them since 2006. Trust us: The pushers are asymmetrical.

  4. Agreed, the strap makers on our forum are for the most part not active here. Donerix is about the only maker that is active here, he is on about every watch board out there so he is quite the busy man. Gunnystraps (Peter) was just on here the other day but honestly it was the first time that I've seen him post in quite a while. I jumped over to RWI and browsed their strap makers and I worked with Primestraps (Jeremy), great to work with and got a top notch croc strap for my 177n. Mind you he works full time outside the watch biz so makes straps in his down time. Took about two weeks from first contact until he sent the strap out, all told that is quite reasonable for a fully custom strap. He worked with me and I choose everything about the strap. He came thru and I think it was well worth it. Don't have a pic of they strap mounted but here is a pic of the strap.

  9. Just received my blue ceramic SMP 300 from Ryan. As is usual with Ryan a flawless transaction and delivered in quick time. Thank you Ryan and Jordan. I had read some reviews about this piece and the black version and was beginning to worry about my decision to go for it. I shouldn't have worried, this is a fantastic piece. The overall quality is superb, the crown is tight and screws in and out without problems. The bracelet is well made with screws instead of push pins and feels very gen-like with the clasp functioning as it should. The dial is superb, all fonts look accurate and the dial itself is beautiful and shiny like the real thing. The date window has a silver surround and the numbers on the date wheel are in silver and raised giving a real quality look. The sapphire crystal is the clearest I have seen on a rep and looks no different to the gen. And so to the bezel. As usual it is misaligned with the insert but not by much. The bezel insert itself was the thing I was most worried about hearing all sorts of stories and reports. To be honest I was wondering how much a real insert would be!!! Yes it is engraved, but not deeply. Yes the numbers on mine are a greyish white not the silver of the gen. The bezel pearl is centred ( well done BP, never thought I would write that). The insert itself is polished to a high shine and I prefer it to the gen. I'm going to have to tell you that this piece is stunning, the photos from my phone don't do it justice. Maybe it's a V2, I just don't know, all I do know is that if you were unsure about getting this rep, don't worry it is first class. With help from HAL 9000 With help from HAL 9000

  13. Some of you might remember my thread about a 3035 caliber in a rep case here.. http://www.rwg.cc/members/Gen-3035-movemen...-ca-t93612.html Well I am just about done with this thing. Here is where I am at. Gen 3035 movement Gen 16613 dial Gen 16613 hands Gen 18K crown Aftermarket solid 18K bezel and instert Aftermarket solid 18K/SS bracelet with MBK clasp showing all rlx markings MBK case, I removed the engraving and drilled the lug holes. (this case had engraved rehaut and no lug holes) This thing is freakin beautiful! And heavy...136 grams! The lume on the gen dial and hands is awsome. I did order the V3 case from Eurotimez and I'm waiting for it to arrive. I may end up using that case and crystal because I made a tiny chip in this crystal which is barely noticable at 10 o-clock. The only thing that looks off a bit is the crown position but its close. We will see if the V3 case is any better. All said and done? About $2700.00 which includes the V3 case but not the initial cost of the complete rep which I can put together once the V3 case arrives. Tell me what you think. I hope my pictures are better this time.

[4] - How NOT to post on this forum: 5 minutes after your initial post you reply to your own post writing something like "Why is nobody helping me? I'm sure you know the answer". Once somebody replies to your thread but doesn't give you exactly the answer you've been expecting you insult them. [5] - Do not ask "what's best" because this question cannot be answered objectively. Each and everyone has their own view about what's best in a certain area. The best is what works best for you! [6] - Don't post just to increase your number of posts. If you have nothing to say on a certain matter then don't post. The number of posts on this board has no direct relation to the experience of a member. Experience has taught us that it is not possible to create simple rules that cover every possible situation. Nor is it possible to anticipate the lengths to which an ill-intentioned person may go to create a way to make themselves a real pain, yet still somehow stay within the published rules. We therefore reserve the right to refuse membership to anyone at anytime, if we deem it necessary to do so. We will always try to give individuals the benefit of the doubt and communicate via PMs or email before taking any action, but there are only so many hours in the day, and we all have day jobs. The way we see this is fairly simple; we are investing countless hours in starting and maintaining this site. We hope it will continue indefinitely. We will therefore do everything we can to maintain a friendly environment for all concerned. The bottom line? We see the people who visit this site as our friends and guests. We intend to host an open house party, not a rock fight -- and we hope that you will take this spirit to heart. If we miss any posts or threads that cross these lines, we apologize. There's no way we can moderate these forums without an active core of members who share the values expressed here. If you do not share these values, we encourage you to find another board that is operating at your level of karma. These rules can be changed without notice.
