  1. I'll be putting a post in the "part for sale" section later today. I don't want to get into details here so as to not be chastised for trying to sell something in the Rollie section! But, to be brief I (currently) could probably put together a kit where you would just need to supply movement and whatever bracelet/strap you want to use...

  5. I stuck a small piece (10cm square) of 1000grit wet and dry to a flat surface and removed the screws one by one, held them with tweezers and gently rubbed the head over the wet and dry. I then gave them a gentle brush with a small paint brush to remove any dirt/dust.

  10. So you mean to have the watch's timing adjusted to "perfection" by a technician. Fair enough .. now, once the back is off the replica watch, any jeweler could plainly see that it's powered by an ETA (Swiss or clone) movement .. so to answer your question YES it will be noticed. My advice to you is to wear the watch for two months until the movement settles. Only then can you know it's true accuracy, and if it requires adjustment. Once you've done this, send the watch by post to the nearest forum-trusted technician.

  12. Let me introduce you to my best friend: It's all relative. I decided a long time ago that if my hair started to go, I would just embrace the hairless look. It started its retreat, and one day on a trip to the barbershop I made the decision to crop it real short. Upon coming home, my wife declared that it made me look like a member of the "Hitler Youth." I concentrated on the "Youth" part and took it as a compliment. She has now done a 180 and says real short hair makes me look like Brad Pitt (trust me, I don't). So, as I said, it's all relative. Don't let your mother determine what looks good on you. Or, you could always go retro and rock this look, and no one will be the wiser:
