  1. Thin CB would be more correct, but not as thin as Athaya's All cases have been reshaped and aged. Pic is from a comparison thread I posted a while ago on RWI and HF. I can say I have a thing for 6154's

  2. Athaya is currently the best choice by far. As in any vintage build, case will need quite some work in order to reshape some sensible areas and get the correct finish. Dial wise you need a 1mm thick 39mm wide dial which is not like gen (1.6mm thick, 2 piece construction) but it will look very close to gen if made by the right people. Athaya on top, new River in the middle, old River.bottom

  3. Anyone mind assisting me in validating a PO I´m looking to buy. Has matching cards and serial. https://forums.watchuseek.com/f29/fs-omega-planet-ocean-42mm-cal-2500-a-4776587.html

  4. So I got responses from both sellers. The first, richview8i8, said the dials were "fair" quality. In looking at them compared with the analysis at DRSD and what I can get with Ruby's Watch for a similar price, it doesn't seem worth it. On the other hand, caucacon, said the dials were from Vietnam - best quality. For $99, it seems like a reasonable risk to buy one. The layout looks decent enough as a Mark IV 1680 but at $99 it's a good price for a Vietnamese dial - even a good price for a Yuki dial - all of which is better than a stock Cartel. I will let you all know how the quality is once I get it (if I get it...haha, knock on wood). And don't worry - there was never a doubt the dials were rep dials. I was just trying to figure out what quality rep dial they were.

  5. Gen dial is about 1.0-1.2mm. FYI... As far as Panerai-builds are concerned.. Homageforum.com is your best friend. Vintage Rolex = RWG no doubt. Kp0y can rework the case. I can rework the case. /holo

  6. Athaya is closest, but still needs reshaping. Rivers's is close but uses non-gen larger 3pc-dials, still needs reshaping. Although 1/2 the price of above..

  7. Ok watch is finally back in safe hands, still to be forwarded on to me but have no issues about that seeing as whom it is with. Have to say thanks to all the guys that badgered the life out of Jason on the thread on rwi, you all know who you are. Obviously a special thanks to the admin team for getting involved and helping me out, as you see my patience only lasts so long so without you I would of written it off.

  10. Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando Tapatalk Yesterday I tried to change the strap in my JF V2 44mm FC and I couldn’t! I could remove the short part of the screw but I couldn’t push the long part out. Any tips? Has anyone had problems with the JV straps? Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando Tapatalk

  14. you are right, it was not meant as a threat, but honestly I was only meaning to contact him and ask to return the money, no bad intend...let me know if I can help in any way. In read on rwi that he wanted to solve the matter, the watches were send registered and insured? Then what is the problem, just refund with paypal to the buyers and have postnl start an investigation to find the orders or get your money back from postnl insurance?
