  4. LOL Chief, I realized today not every purchase was going to be perfect I was just angry at my first brush with bad luck twice. Up until this point Ive been lucky with about 11 reps that have been almost perfect with no glaring mistakes. I compared my classic 16610 with that of my buddy who ordered from the dealer that QC and we noticed 3 things 1. the bezels on both didnt line up properly and 2. the divers clasp on both came delivered with short pins that didnt stretch to the other side. That was on both watches. The third thing we noticed was that his dial markers were properly aligned and mine were not. So there you have it. I don't know if he was just lucky or his dealer actually did what he said he does which is QC. In the end I said screw it . I'm not going to send it back, I will however send back the M series noob as the movement is wonky and skips. So I guess what Im trying to say is I'm too tired to deal with this anymore. I guess as long as it doesnt look like I just purchased it at Aloha stadium (for Lani who knows what Im talking about)or down on canal street or if the movement isnt DOA then I guess it is what it is. Thanks guys. Ill post a pic when I can . Coe
  5. I'm doing some research before I put his name out there. My colleague from work purchased the same 16610 Z but from another dealer. I want to make sure it's not a factory flaw that's the same for them all no matter which dealer you go to. I will say that the other dealer whom my buddy purchased his from QC's all shipments. So I'll post again tomorrow. Thanks for the support. I can live with the little flaws it's the glaring obvious ones that drive me nuts
  6. Ok guys I purchased the noonmariner what 2 weeks ago and it had a bad movement. Was told to send it back. Last week I decided to buy a Z series. I wrote the dealer and even put in the comments section please make sure the movement works and that you QC it after the last bad purchase. Got the Sub today movement works great but when looking at it I noticed the six o'clock marker is about 2mm off. How do you guys think I should respond now? My $79 Invicta Sub was built better than this $240 one. I'm sending this from my phone so I'll upload a pic later
  7. Beautiful watch. Can u tell us where you got the Nato?
  8. I sent it back and upgraded to the ETA version Which I should have by middle of next week
  9. Ive seen these all over the net now as reps heres one really bad attempt but you can use the dial as a start http://www.ioffer.com/i/108200707
  10. yeah there are many variations on these things. I think Davidsen has done a great job. They are pretty accurate. BTW Bill Yao over at MK II has applied for the Tornek Rayville trademark. search for a link and a previous post on it
  11. If anyone is willing to sell send me a note with pics and price/ CONUS only thanks
  12. I agree it's great for the price. This is the new M series Noon though so I think it's time for another By-Tor review of this one. The old classic noon without the engraving and better rehaut is no longer available. Btw We worked it out and he's going to take care of me. Looking forward to a By-Tor review
  13. The second hand is on crack. It starts stops and then jumps ahead. it's not Joshs fault seems like this is a common problem from the factory when using a dg2813 movement. I'm just [censored] they don't check these things and then you have to pay extra for them to fix the problems.
  14. Congratulations I hope yours is working better than mine. Got mine yesterday and now have to pay to send it back. Congrats again. Btw it looks real good with a Bond strap from Corvus

    Dilemma

does anyway know whether or not a DG 2812 will fit the beginmariner?

    Dilemma

Believe I discovered what the problem was after some research and The Zigmeister can probably verify but believe that the indirect drive is jacked up. Watching the second hands from 6-12 horizontal shows the second hand jumping and on the way back up working smooth somewhat. The tension spring associated with it either needs adjument or replacement. Called my local guy and he said 20 bucks to look at and 70 to fix. bummer
  17. Actually some of the originals were 22mm check out fiftyfathoms.net and theres one other site but cant think of it. Ill get back with ya, I own one of Davidsens fifty fathoms FF95 and until recently I wore it every day for 90 days straight. Love that watch. Solidly built and keeps great time.

    Dilemma

Guys I received a beginmariner last night and the second hand is jumping around like crazy and the crown is hard to screw down. Ive gone back and forth with the dealer who finally said send it back where I have to pay for shipping and no reimbursement for the shipping and wouldnt send another watch until he received the other one even though Ive sent back two watches before for issues like DOA and stripped crown threads. So the more I think about it the angrier I get. Do you guys think it would be wrong for me to say Im sending the watch back and I want a refund for the purchase price of the watch not even for the shipping. I discussed it with my colleagues whom Ive gotten into reps and we all agreed that we were only going to buy from Chris at Eurotimez because of all the QC issues that we are having with the other dealers. Not to say that Chris doesnt have his problems but at least you know someone has QCd it. I dunno what do you guys think should I ask for a refund? Heres the original thread http://www.rwg.cc/members/brand-beginmarin...hl=beginmariner
  19. After multiple exchanges my guy has come through and said send it back. So now Ill have to wait another 10-15 days before I even see a replacement and Ill have to spend another 15-20 bucks to send it back. I don't know about anyone else here but this really pisses me off and I dont want to hear thats the way it is. Screw that you buy something you should get a working product if its faulty and you have to pay to send it back your account should be credited for another purchase or the difference should be refunded. And I dont care what the dealer has to pay to send you a new one (thats faulty logic) he should have sent you a product that worked in the for GD place. Can you tell how angry I am. edited for bad words. my apologies
  20. I'm in Zimgers boat now. I ordered a beginmariner and a corvus bond strap last week. Both arrived today and I was excited when I got home. Watch was the M series not the F but I could live with that I was hoping for it. I took it out of the plastic, set the date and time and tried to screw in the crown and it took forever, bad start but hey may be a fluke. Then I sat back to look at the beauty. Then I saw it. The exact same problem Zimger has I am now looking at it. WTF!!!! And I didnt even order this one from the same dealer. Im going to contact the dealer perhaps he'll be gracious enough to drop one in the mail so I dont have to wait to send one back and then receive one. He's been good to me so far so lets see what happens. Anyone got any ideas why this is happening.
  21. Ordered mine last week from corvus to go with the M series beginmariner I just ordered . Man they look great together love the pics
