You don't visit the site for a while and then you miss something like this, that will teach me ! Great looking watch, hope to find one in the sale section eventually.
This would be the real deal, lets face it, how hard could it of been back in the day to supply all previous Subs with the correct size/position holes, the makers had done all the hard work with cases, dials, bracelets and always let it down with the lug holes and Polex etc engravings
I've just got this vintage 5508
http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=12740
It's a cheap Sillix Asian that's had the dial and case aged and the lug holes drilled, thanks a lot to Denis in Canada. It now lives on a grey Nato strap
Just come across Trusty's cheaper 5513 at $198, it does appear to have white print on the dial, anyone got any experience with it ? http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...products_id=216
Well the MBK may be an option if it does indeed come with two dials or I could be guarenteed a white script on one I purchased otherwise it may just have to be an "aged" yellowey" dial. The 5517 looks good but the lugholes would be too big if I removed the fixed bars !
Thanks Alligoat, I thought that the MBK had print that was yellowish same as the hour/minute markers that the other dealers sell. Will have another look at the MBK
Have searched the site and looked at lots of the dealers but can't find a 5513 with white print on the dial as it should be, think even the Mbk have it the same as the markers, can anyone point me in the right direction, thanks
Just thinking that they've made a very nice watch and slipped up on something very basic which would be very simple to fix but they appear to be still using it looking at the sub without lugholes.
