  1. I appreciate your valuable input Bear. You think I should keep it then? I'm still planning to buy a Gen. At a certain pt in the near future. I just haven't been able to find anything interesting yet for under $2,000 I will upload more pictures as soon as I receive it. Sent from my  Typøs are courtesy of iPhone Autocorrect

For that price you won't find anything better.

  2. Seems the project is starting to get somewhere. This is the best after market dial I have ever seen. Leaps and bounds above DWs previous offerings. Coronet might be a little off, but the stick markers are incredible (length wise), hope they are just as good in height. Font looks good to, the subdial numbers position might be a bit off (have a look at the 20 and 40) but could also be due to the camera angle.

One of the biggest tells on the silver dial will always be the sunburst pattern and shine of the original. Looking at your whitey lume markers it would have been best to replicate a service dial as the pattern and color seems to most closely resemble this.

  3. " I hope to be more patient in the future. I think the biggest frustration is the language barrier.. When you just want to spew your thoughts out but you can't, you have to articulate every word it's not fun."

Amen to that. Feel the same every time I try to explain my watches to my wife.... :bangin:

  4. All well and good, but if you are after a decent Newman dial Minh is still the only chick in the wXore house. Ingod and Phong are just lacking too much in the details if you have already poured thousands down the drain for your built. For standard Daytona dials I would always go gen as the price difference between rep and gen is marginal in comparison to the quality gained. Unfortunately this is not an option for Newman dials....

  5. This makes you wonder! DW's dial's ar far more worth the price!!!

And what a focking clown changing the dial on his webpage!!! I bet that dial (batch) was long ago sold amd this dials that you got was from the new bratch!!!

Naaaa this is a real clown act cc, hope the clown realise what his done and will do it right

Been to the circus recently Z... ;)

Hope it all works out. It is sometimes a pain to deal with these higher-end sellers. I only had positive experience with Phong, but then again I am only buying Daytona mid-cases. He seems to be quite busy at the moment, projected about 4 weeks for my next case (...or he is out of stock). I hope Minh works out, his PN dials are still the best ones out there and the price reflects this. One of the main selling points for me is the sunken minute track.

  6. I am not sure how things work with Minh (this is my first time dealing with him) he asked for half of the cost upfront and the rest once the dial is completed (It's a one-off PN dial). I always assumed I would only send him the rest of the money once I approve a set of QC pictures. Is this not the procedure here?

  7. The subdial issue is barely visible in real live. What bothers me most is the printing of the orange 60 minute track on the dial. It should be more pronounced, similar color as the 3 o'clock sub dial orange and not fading under UV as the DW ones does.

  8. Well it turned out the gen hand set for my 6263 is for a 6239. Lucky break of sorts, but now I am on the hunt for a 6263 service hand set. Got an offer for Eur 500 which sounds a little rich for my taste. Other option would be a Phong hand set I still have in my parts box, but with most other visible parts gen I am not sure I want to go rep here.

    Any advice is appreciated. :)
