Don't look at the 10k you spent, look at the 100k you saved...

Probably just a lucky one for the seller. Got to use the Heuer Breitling trick next time...

Freddy: DW's last batch of cases featured tight countersinking for pump pushers that was substantially different from the wide indents on his 6263/6265s. Based on what I saw on the JAW website, I had believed that Phong got this detail wrong on his 6239 case (what I see are pump-pushers set in screw-down-size indents), but maybe I need to see some newer photos.
Confirmed, got one of the last 6239 cases before DW went AWOL and it looks just like the gen. Probably only needs a little trimming around the crown area but otherwise really good. Was not as cheap, since the hands and dial which were promised never materialized...
BTW, thank you for the comparison Valty. Really appreciated.

You could upgrade to the OEM replacement pushers Ofrei is selling, but the holes in the DW case are a bit too large and it will take some work to make it fit.

Okay mates :-)
I will do some photo comparison very soon between DW case, Taiwan case, and Phong case
But trust me - the quality of Phong's job is awesome (and I don't have any actions in his business, lol)
Cheers !
Thanks Valty, just what I was looking for (....to make me feel better about the Phong prices...)

Do you want some photos to see it better ?
R.
Not sure if this question has ever gotten a negative answer...
(I am also about to pull the trigger with Phong, so pictures of his current offering would be really helpful)

You are not on your own. I purchased 1 today.
Let us know how it looks like in person, I am tempted as well.

I'd go with fake Rolex 6240 due to the sub dial spacing and pusher position.

A lot of dealers are actually drop shippers, so the watches would indeed be sent from the same place.

Looks a bit too much like a Tag to me...

You will have a hard time finding high quality watches on TaoBao for cheaper than here. The lower quality versions are probably cheaper there, but why bother...? If you don't have enough spare cash to get the high quality version you'll probably have a hard time pulling off the cheapos.

The V2 is not even close. The lume does not make much of a difference given all the other short comings. On the other hand the V3 lume from the prototype leaves a lot to be desired, so probably a re-lume is in order.

You don't need an intervention, you need a good hiding place. I recommend desk drawer at work....

Judging by his feedback he seems to be a dealer of some sort...

$88k ? Wow !

I think ingod's dials are for V72 only...

Been with Cousins for a long time and never had an issue. Wasn't aware of the unlisted parts feature. Something I will definitely look into in the future.

It's rubbish, send it my way...
Looks very clean. How much will it set you back ?
-
It's an auto case, not handwind.

Always dealt directly with DW, never had any issues. Ordered a couple of weeks ago. He replied that he is out and will send upon return. Got shipping confirmation today.

Rep - but the seller might not know...
Looks like he's been selling gens otherwise.

Wow.. Do you dare share your source (PM is fine to)
Source is on the picture...
Are all Valjoux 72's the same

You guys will poop your pants when I tell you I picked up a V72 in top condition for only £105 last year. (not on ebay of course...)
