  1. another confirmation on RG site: "I changed the screws of a daytona movement to my HBB 21.600 movement and they fitted perfectly."
  2. Thats the reply I got on repgeek forum from fellow member with enough experience: "Yes, you can with most of the screws, I've done that before. The only screw that I don't remember if can be retrofit is the balance bridge one. And the original ETA screws will also fit the chinese 7750, I've done that also."
  3. I am afraid I have to do just that...but wanted to know beforehand...
  4. Many memebers have succesfully put ETA screws into lowbeat A7750. Thats not the question that i have per se. My question is can i put screws from 28.8 K into 21.6 K movement.
  5. I'd like to change the blue ones on my V2/V4 maker's HBB into silver ones, to be more gen like. Before I consider ordering ETA screws from cousins.uk, i wanted to check whether silver screws from 28.9K Asian 7750 will fit 21.6K Asian 7750 thats standard on V2/V4 HBBs. I have few Asian 7750 movements in the closed caseback watches that have silver screws. Could be a cheap route to put silver screws in HBB 21.6 k movement and blue ones in the 28.8K movement (since no-one will really see it behind closed caseback anyway). Has anyone attempted this? Will it work?
  6. Please add me for one as well. Thanks! Al
  7. I was advised to stay away from DG4813 movements. Either Asia 2836 or ETA2836 shouldbe considered...
  8. antomarty I have searched ET website and could not find decorated 2836 (as 3135) movement being sold separately at all. Could you please provide a link if possible? I think this is the missing component that would make V5 really the best dssd rep. Thanks Al
  9. Copied from RepGeek.com (Thanks claudeb1966) Tam in chinatown...he has no issues with fixing reps and he is fun to talk to. 179 grand street (enter the indoor mall he is in the back on the right before the massage parlor)....its safe and he is open til 8PM. you may have to source your own parts as the asian movements are not items he stocks parts for (he may have it anyway)....his prices seem to be quite good too. Phone: 212-334-3734 Cell: 646-894-6526

  12. That is true and still is a miss with 28k movement. But I just got another confimation from trustytime and that makes hbb even more attractive to me as I was not really interested in closeback cases like the one of tuiga model At least now u don't have to compromise with stick on letters!
  13. HI all, I was informed by Tony from Asian7550 that all HBB modles from V1 manufacturer now come with letters engraved on the rotor. I believe V2 had engraved letters but V1 had stick on letters. Can someone confirm whether V1 HBBs now have improved rotor indeed? Thanks!

  15. Thanks..after sale service is important factor to consider...still tempted to give them a try...will post my experience
  16. Thanks..I will give Asian7550.com a try...with HBB Tuiga...not lite version for $338 compared to $508 from PT...
  17. Hi all, Asian7750.com undercuts many other dealers' prices by a significan margin for certain models....like Graham Divers for examle. Does any one have any positive or negative experiences to share about this vendor? Can anyone vouch for their credebility? Thanks
  18. Etymotic or Ultimate Ears I have tried many cans and buds and these two are best bang for a buck!
  19. Hi all, I have done my search on the forum and PMed few people but still did not get the info I am looking for. I have a beautiful 6 months old 111H from Davidsenjp with "swiss" 6497 that needs a small repar job. Gears are slipping and and the watch unwinds back....click has disengaged from the ratchet wheel and there is no spring in sight to return it back...just noticed that the tiny spring that holds a small lever that prevents main gears from slipping back is "gone". That lever is disengaged and there is no clicking sound when i wind the watch eaither. In other words...click has disengaged from the ratchet wheel and there is no spring in sight to return it back... I am afraid it is "lost" somewhere inside the movement. I would appreciate all input in regards to recommending a competent "rep friendly" local Tri-State Watchsmith who could fix this problem. Many thanks beforehand for all your valuable input... Alex
