Yes, it is ETA case you can tell by the crownguards. And it is BP serial so... your watch is either late BP or GMF:) (people say GMF is made in 100% of BP parts)
Early BP had awful bezel insert, yours is much nicer so it's GMF or recently updated BP, I can't tell more.
The most important thing is that watch is period correct: clasp+rehaut+dial, that does not happen often in reps.
I think you did a good deal, this watch is better than Noob v7, I love the crystal - it's superior over the v7.
Personally I wouldn't touch it, watch looks nice oob and you can't improve eta case anyhow.
What do you want to mod? BP case is not gen spec.
How can you tell by the cg,...supposed to be a lower stem and crown?

Sweet, I love this combo...I have this one and the 377709..I think the steel bracelet fits on both
-
I would send it back as it is DOA, the dealershould help you out.

If you were to place a precision mvtspacer and you want to stick the dail onto that, what would be the best..stickers of glue? Keeping in mind that you wnat it sitting secure but removable when needed.
-
Personally I would not file the dail as it is so easy to damage

What a cr;€&@&)p these guys are vomitting, stay away of these scammers

Advice needed on Rolex bracelet
Got me my very first Rolex from a member here and I am happily surprised. The 16622 originally from Sead is looking very nice and I am planning a sidebyside image comparison with the gen. The thing I noticed immediately was the bracelet as it has some space between the midlinks, the feel of it is a bit "wobbly", it is kinda loose, feels very light but I have no gen bracelet to compare. ....I am wondering which bracelet would have better links without the space between the lugs and a better feel.
Did some reading but any help is appreciated.
Sean/TC/BK or WM9, don't know if these are still available? Or would the ARF 904L be a better choice? -
awesome Snowflake....seems you have to take out a few links for your wristsize////why did you choose for a Rolex clasp instead of Tudor?
.......your interest should be changed as it says only Panerai,...now there is no way back. 😉

the only Rollie I know was/is in Germany...but as Sogeha said, ask @Frazzle1

Use clear epoxy and give it time to cure- like 24 hours.
+1...maybe sand the coronoet en the spot where it used to be to get a better adhesive power

Silix used to be here, I recommend trusty time / andrew. He offers the service.

Rolex caseback opener
in Technical and helpful information
Posted
After being a non Rolexfan for about 12 years I bought my first Rolex rep a few weeks ago. As it had some issues when it arrived and not having a Rolex opener, I tried a squeezeeball without luck. So I send the watch to a friend who is a watchmaker to get it fixed. In the meantime I looked for a priceworthy alternative for the Bergeon 5700 Rolex die set which would set me back around $400.
I found this gadget.
Unfortunately the insert did not fit the Bergeon(they told me it would fit 100%) so when I got no reply after sending several emails, I decided to sand it down about 0.2 mm. The set is chinese but despite this and the sanding down of the insert and the crappy aftersales I thought its is reasonable value for money in the end. It has a very good grip on the caseback and does the job.
Die sizes are 18,5 - 20,2 - 22,5 - 26,5 - 28,3 und 29,5 mm.
