  1. That's super cool! Let him know that I think he makes some really neat pieces.
  2. Same thought. I had in mind either red or that teal color.
  3. I was thinking of getting one, and having a custom black hornback alligator strap made for it
  4. This is not an expensive watch by any means, but I've had my eye on this one: https://mrjoneswatches.com/collections/mens-watches/products/last-laugh-tattoo-xl Just seems like a cool and fun piece
  5. I just came across this thread. I'm very sorry to hear that Ken. I've bought a few things from you over the years and it was always a pleasure dealing with you. Your store will be missed, as will be Cathy.
  6. I'm honestly not a huge fan of the new batman and pepsi models. I just really don't like the new bracelet style. I would get one of the older models though. I don't think I would like them more than a classic Submariner though. Hopefully I can get a Daytona in a few years time. I'm sure I'll have to buy something else in the interim.
  7. Yes, I love my crazy hours. I'm not too worried about price retention tbh. Only time it bothers me is when you buy a watch, and in a year or two its value goes down by half. In that case I'd rather just buy the watch when its a year or two old. It's unlikely I'll ever sell any of the gen's that I end up buying anyway. That was part of the reason I bought this submariner. To start getting in my AD's good books. I'd also like to get the blue/gold two-tone Submariner one today.
  8. I'm kind of in a similar boat as you. I have the money now to be able to afford a nice gen, but wasn't sure what to get. I really, really want the Daytona 116500LN with the white dial, but I've found it impossible to get through an AD, and I refuse to pay that much above retail on the secondary market. I was also strongly considering the Freak X. However, I already have a gen Franck Muller Crazy Hours which I really like, but that's also one of those unique watches. So I've settled on something more classic and decided to get a genuine Submariner 116610LN. My AD tells me I should get it in the next month or two!
  9. That was my thought as well Ken. I bid on it based on his previous sales and feedback.
  10. I won the listing but refused to pay after all the feedback I got, that's why it says sold. Not sure if he reposted it
  11. Backed out on the sale. Also asked at Paneristi and they all also agreed it was cleared a fake. Thank you guys!!
  12. Does this look genuine to you? Just want to be absolutely sure before I send payment since papers not included. What do you guys think? http://www.ebay.com/itm/152416949004?_trksid=p2057872.m2748.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  13. Btw, in -40 celcius weather all I wear under my Canada Goose jacket is a t-shirt, and I feel warm
  14. I live in Winnipeg, which is one of the coldest major cities in the world. A lot of people here wear Canada Goose jackets, including myself. Get a real one, do not cheap out. They are amazing. Even when it is warmer out (-5 celcius even) they are still great and you don't overheat in them. I highly recommend one.
  15. Hello, I am interested in upgrading to VIP status. I sent an e-mail some time ago as instructed but never heard back. Can you please PM me? Thanks, M
  16. Yes, a 996. I bought the standard turbo, but I've thrown about 20k into the car on top of that. It's a monster now.
  17. I've done quite a bit to my 911 Turbo, but I try to keep it looking as stock as possible. In a month I should be pushing close to 800 HP, the car is a blast yet terrifying to drive at the same time
  18. Tempting, although I don't know my size in their shirts :-/
  19. HBB Skeleton Tourbillon with Ceramic Bezel. Pricy, but hands down the best all black watch you can find. I have one and absolutely love it. Gets compliments all the time.
  20. So today I accidentally dropped my watch onto the ground from about two feet up. I looked, and the running second hand fell off. This is the 111 V3 with the Asian movement. Is this a fairly simple fix? Or will I likely need some part that may have broken?
  21. KB carries the best. More expensive, but worth it. I have a Hermes belt from him and it is excellent
  22. Here are two quick iPhone photos. I am able to bend the strap in the offending area, with great difficulty, to undo the buckle. But definitely not while it is on my wrist. I am not sure how much each individual hole can be enlarged as they are fairly close together. I'm considering making these six holes, into three larger ones (combine two into one). Is this a good idea or no?
